Serrapeptase - A new way to spell relief? - Read on...
P-A-I-N is a four letter word. Who needs it???!!!
I think I could write the book on pain after living through 9 years of non-stop pain. It changed my whole world---and the world of others around me. I am sure you all have heard the good advice, "Never to go near an injured dog...even if he is otherwise good tempered". Pain can make you mean and tired. It drains your body of so much energy -- energy that your body needs to try and heal itself.
Alternative natural remedies for pain reduction come in all varieties--herbs, homeopathics, sprays, ointments and massage therapies...even visualizing your pain going away and your body healing itself. I have a bushel basket here in my home of everything (almost everything) I've tried. I started saving all the alternative or natural remedies I tried because I knew at some point that I would try something that truly worked and then I could tell the world what not to try. At first I had just a list written on paper of each thing I tried, then I started just throwing them in an empty laundry basket because I was too tired and in too much pain to write them down! That's how much pain I was in!
Guess what? Serrapeptase is NOT in my laundry basket! This stuff really works! My healing is on the increase with the serrepeptase!
What is Serrapeptase?
Serrapeptase is an enzyme that comes from the silkworm. When the silkworm is ready to emerge from it's cocoon it produces an enzyme that dissolves that very hard shell so that this delicate little creature can enter into a new world. Isn't God marvelous how he has provided for the silkworm? Well God not only provides for the silkworm, He provides for us as well.

Hans Nieper, a German doctor and scientist, discovered this natural enzyme over 20 years ago. It has been used in both Japan and Europe for several years as a natural alternative for pain relief but was not introduced into the U.S. until 2002. Much of Nieper's research with serrapeptase was with clogged arteries. He discovered that only a small amount, if taken every day for 18 months, would complete the healing of clogged arteries and they would be would be almost entirely clear. Further research has been done, primarily in Japan, and they have discovered that serrapeptase safely dissolves away any dead tissue anywhere in the body and this naturally causes less pain and in many cases NO MORE PAIN. (In fact it is rumored that this is what the Doctors take when they have pain). Once the tissue is dissolved it is disposed of through the body's normal channels.
I started taking serrapeptase about 10 days ago and I can say that this product is the fastest natural pain reliever that I have ever tried. People that have been suffering with many different illnesses have been getting relief with serrapeptase and you can count me along with them! I

I researched some articles on Serrapetase and here are a few to get you started on your own research which I greatly encourage you to do. Just listening to someone talk about what they have experienced is not enough to educate yourself about your own health matters. Please READ THE RESEARCH.
Where to purchase serrapeptase - I shopped around on the Internet and I believe I found one of the best sources out there (Listed Below). The potency is high and it is an enteric coated TABLET which means that you will get the greatest amount of absorption. Serrapeptase in a CAPSULE (clear coated type capsule or veggie capsule) has only about 50% absorption so you have wasted half of your money if you purchase it in a CAPSULE form.
I take the tablets on a completely empty stomach (2 1/2 - 3 hours after a meal) with a small amount of water, then I wait 30-40 minutes before eating or drinking. This was a little inconvenient at first but it has had a big payoff! I learned from the research that if you do not take it on an empty stomach the enzyme will digest your food or beverage instead of getting directly into your blood stream to digest old, dead tissue. I started with 3 tablets daily - One taken three times a day. I have read that some people have taken more but sometimes will get an upset stomach. I now have cut down to 2 a day and expect to lower that in a few days.

SERRAPEPTASE - Relieve Pain Naturally - Safe and Effective
In my research it appears that SERRAPEPTASE should be taken in limited amounts with rest periods. The site I listed as website http://www.raysahelian.com/serrapeptase.html claims to be written by a doctor and seems pretty fair in identifying some possible side effects. You may want to check out the information there especially if you are concerned as to how much SERRAPEPTASE should be taken.

Hello Hima!
Thank you for wonderful feedback and sharing your site.
Ouch! I am the Blog Master and I have so many articles that I have yet to write and I apologize to you and all my other readers for not being able to update it more often.
I am always researching and I have so much more to share, but it is a labor of love. I need to support myself and most of my time is spent doing that...sorry to say. It is my desire to only spend my time on on getting the facts out to people here...but I have not won the lottery yet to be able to do that! ;-)
I think you know where I am going with this. Truthfully Hima, ten years of my illness drained me of all of my savings and then my job of over 16 years eliminated my position 4 years ago because of my illness.[Insurance related - whether you use company health insurance or not, if you have a degenerative disease it raises the premium of the entire company for every year you get older - they let 5 people go on the same day who all had progressive disease in an effort to reduce health insurance costs.]I have been struggling financially ever since. But, I could have eliminated all that I went through had I known what I know now. I do not want anyone to suffer as I have...not even one Hima, not even one.
I post these articles so that those that pass by and read will have their eyes opened and the truth will reveal itself to them.
I appreciate your comment and your honesty. I will do my best to start to put out some of my other information and research although the posts may be a bit shorter.
As far as Rheumatoid Arthritis, I have found that it is really only a name. If you really examine the symptoms, it is not much different that many other of the auto-immune diseases. As for me, I have found that it is the toxins -- toxic thoughts and emotions are at the top of the list -- that need to be eliminated. This is putting it very simply but I see many of us looking to see what we can put in our bodies, or what other treatments we can pursue in order to fix our bodies. But it is what we take out of the body that allows our bodies to heal itself...not what we put into it. [please re-read the last sentence...it is more important than anything else I have written about on the blog] If we take out of the body what does not belong there in the way of toxins, this means also toxic thoughts and emotions, then the cells can function. They will start to do their job and balance to the entire is restored. This is what I discovered for myself and it is so basic I just cannot imagine that the logic would not apply to others.
I will post more on this in articles to come.
I hope this is of some help to you, Hima.

I have been taking several capsules of 80,000 units of serrapeptase daily for the past 4 months and I don't know what all the raving is about. I have gotten relief from sore throats and relief of mild pain in my left knee, and toes, but no relief from hayfever and no relief whatsoever for low back pain. I hope it's cleaning out my arteries but I have no way to tell if it is. I don't plan to spend another cent on this product.

Hello Gena,
It is hard to say, things work differently on each different person. I will say 80,000 units a
day sounds like a lot to take over 4 months. I am basing that on what Dr. Ray Sahelian suggested on his site. As I recall it was ok to take a larger amount initially (first couple of weeks) but then to decrease. Please go to this article and read the comments there are several but it is about the 14th or so down)...down toward the bottom you will read an excerpt of what he states.
Here is the article:
SERRAPEPTASE and Hydrogenated Fats - Thank You Hans Nieper!
Also, I do not know what else you are doing to help manage your other problems. Serrapeptase alone is not a substitute for healthier living habits. It only helps to clear out toxins that already exist in our system. But we should also make an effort to not take in anymore toxins and also to take in better nutrition.
I hope some of this helps you in someway Gena,

HI
I just recently developed an eye floater. It is huge and really scared me when it happened four days ago. I could not see out of my right eye. The eye doctor also said that my eye was hemorrageing because of the floater. He also said that they don't go away and that I had to learnto live with it. It is a little better now. While doing osme research onthe internet I cam across an article hat said SERRAPEPTASE would get rid of eye flaoters. What do you think?

Hello Debbe ~
I have never read that about Serrapeptase and eye floaters. I really am not that familiar with them although I did have them when I was a teen-ager for about 3 years. Mine were not as you described. I was told it was because of stress and also possible caffeine. ( Shame on me...I was an early coffee drinker and I did drink about 4 cups a day ... when I finally stopped the coffee...they subsided ) I never knew that floaters could block your vision. I would print off some information about serrapeptase and how it works and then take it to my eye doctor. I would let him read the information and then let him decide.
I hope this is some help to you!

Hi Emjae,
I was recommended serrapeptase by my acupuncturist to help with pain associated with possible endometriosis and ibs. I just wondered if you are still having good results with it, and what your current opinion is on it.
thanks,

Hello Fern~
I love serrapetase but interesting that you would ask if I was still using it. No, I am not. I did take it for just short of two years. In the research I read that it was 18 months and the arteries were clear...although I was not using it to clear arteries, I had noticed that noticeable improvements has subsided and so decided to discontinue. If my symptoms come back then I will take it again, but for now I feel good.
I hope this helps Fern, thank you for asking.

It has just occurred to me that I might have a problem with serrapeptase. I hope not as I see it as a saviour with my condition. I suffer from a hereditory blood clotting disorder and have had ongoing problems with clotting. However, I have had a main aorta bypass as a result of previos clotting and the surgeon replaced a part of my aorta with teflon. If serrapeptase eats all non living matter, will it have an effect on the teflon, or will that be safe. All I need is to be taking the meds to get rid of the clots and find that it has also got rid of my aorta.

Hello Denese ~
It would seem that you are correct. Have you told your health professional that you are taking serrepeptase and asked his opinion? If it were me I would. Also...you may want to look into Nattokinase. This is an enzyme from Natto - which is fermented soy. It has been known to dissolve blood clots although I know of nothing about hereditary blood clots or if they would be included in the research that has been done. It can be purchased at Asian Grocery stores in the freezer section I believe. It is somewhat cheesy in consistency and taste I am told. If you are not that adventurous to try such a food then it can also be purchased in capsule form. Physician Formulas I know sure sells it online as well as other sources. Here is an informational page from Dr. Ray Sahelian M.D. on
Nattokinase...

Here is another article that you may want to take a look at to get you started on your own research.

Please always remember to consult your health professional. This site is meant as an informational source and a basis for your own research. Discussion between you and your health professional is very much encouraged as they are the expert and can guide you in your own health management.
I hope this helps Denese --

Emjae,
Thank you for the great blog, i truly appreciate all your hard work.
I have a couple of questions for you. When you wrote the blog, you said you had been on it for 10 days, but in the comments you said that you had taken it for two years right? And you went from unremitting pain and it sounds like now you have no pain at all?
If that's the case, that is just remarkable and clearly you are the epitomy of what Dr. Seigel calls an "exceptional patient."
I am lastly curious about what else you were doing and taking that helped in your healing process?
Thanks again, you're awesome!

Two years ago I got cellultis from a bug bite in Maui and spent a week in the hospital and now have lymphedema on my left forarm. I am going to give this a try as I have spent hours so many differnet things and over ten thousand dollars trying to get better. I am not sure how much to take. I have 60,000 i.u.

Hi - I came across Serrapeptase whilst researching cysts, & had just begun taking it when I was called up for surgery. I am now taking it again (hopefully for chelation effect), & have been thrilled that it seems to be clearing my lifelong chronic constipation problem.
I was about to re-order, but have been alarmed to read on this blog about what it might do : I have mesh inserted in me to prevent hernias from recurring - will the Serrapeptase remove this? I am not allowed any more abdominal surgery, indeed any surgery at all is deemed highly dangerous for me, so I really need to know!
Thankyou for your time.

My wife has had severe varicose veins for 17 years they had never caused her problems. In October she took Serrapeptase for her joints but stopped taking it in December and the improvement in her knee and hand pains were dramatic.
To our amazement her veins have almost gone too! I know this sounds crazy and we are both in shock over this. She has started taking it again a couple of weeks ago as they started to show again a little on one side. They are now smooth again!
The doctor says they do not go away like that but they have, he is sending her for a scan later this month. He had reffered her to a specialist but when we went to see him there was nothing for him to see. He had never heard of Serrapeptase. We do wish we had taken photographs before and after. If anybody reads this with a similar problem and takes these tablets for a few weeks please, please take pictures first as no one will beleive you.

I was recently diagnosised with Morton's Neuroma. The pain has been very annoying and the doctor gave me a cortizone shot. I'm not sure this is going to help. Then I stumbled onto Serrpeptase. Will taking this help to restore my foot to normal without the inflammation and nerve scarring?

I have had a double mastectomy and I must be having scar tissue issues with the saline implants. Will the Serrapeptase cause a problem with the implants since it is a non-living thing? I already use quite a few products that have Theraputic grade essential oils in them with great success for all my health issues, but I stumbled accross this blog and thought I would ask you on the scar tissue. Thanks for all your time doing this blog for people. If you are interested in what I have been doing with the oils, check out these links. http://Healthy1.vibrantscents.com

I am so happy to have found this Blog! I have suffered with chronic pain for at least 10-12 years. And it has gotten worse. I have tried everything under the sun. Every doctor, every alternative. I have also tried various herbal formulas. I don't do well with pain killers and prescription meds. Two doses and I was bleeding from both ends. It caused huge blood blisters in my mouth and my husband thought I was hemorraghing. Nobody has ever given me a very good diagnosis other than osteroarthritis in my neck, maybe pinched nerves, maybe a muscle problem. Shoulders have loose ligaments. I even took prolotherapy. It was brutal. Over 200 shots per treatment. You can't imagine, but nothing touches this pain in my neck that eventually envelopes my whole head. And it is everyday.
I bought some Drs. Best Serrapeptase two weeks ago. They are 40,000 unit capsules. I took 2-3, 3x a day and increased to 4, 3x a day. The headaches went to a new level! When I get up in the morning I am so sore I can hardly move. Feels like I've been in a fight. My shoulders are aching horribly. Head is almost unbearable. I have cut down to what it says on the bottle which is 1-2 2x a day. If I am going to get any relief, how do I know how long it takes? What dosage should I be taking? Is it necessary to up the dose after awhile to do any good?
Thanks, Judy

Yeah there are side effects such as a bad stomach but come on its a bad stomach!!

I have been taking enzymes off and on for the past few years. I started with bromelain, to help with post-surgical healing. I take Sorenzyme to help with post exercise pain. And, PRN, I take other enzymes and keep them on-hand. I learned a long time ago that it is crucial to take them on an empty stomach, so they work on body instead of on my digestion!
I have a slight scoliosis because of a shorter leg syndrome. At 55, I learned to correct this imbalance with a measured (by my Paul St John NMT/Neurosomatic therapist) shoe lift added by a shoemaker. But the scoliosis and rotated hip have been there for years, so I'm only treating the symptoms.
This week, when making my bed and slightly lifting the mattress while probably slightly twisted, for the gazillionth time, I pulled out a rib. This means I develop an intercostal injury--a tear or separation that means I suffer for weeks before it heals. It feels like a torn tendon, but only when I'm sitting or lying down. Usually, there's no pain when standing or walking. Pain requires a unique body position--sleeping and turning over is hell.
This pain intensifies with time. Nothing helps. Chiropractic. NMT. Ibuprofen. Enzymes. Nothing. The only thing that helps is the healing of time.
Today, I realized I have some serrapeptase, and have started taking this. My fingers (and my ribs) are crossed, that the Serrepeptase will relieve the pain so I can heal at leisure.
Has anyone reading this taken SPT for a similar problem or tendon/cartilage/muscle pain? Has it helped you?
Thanks for a great site and resource.

I have mesh from prolapse surgery also and asked Robert Redfern of http://serrapeptase.info/ the question of whether it might be compromised by the action of serrapeptase but he assured me that this enzyme only targets non-living natural matter - not artificial material like mesh or artificial knees, etc.
